Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
These Terms govern use of Daydream Together at daydreamtogether.com. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity performed through your account, keeping access to that Google account secure, and providing accurate information. Do not share an account or impersonate another person. Contact hunter@willisma.com if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.
The game and AI output
Daydream Together is entertainment, not a person, professional adviser, crisis service, or source of verified facts. Story text and voices are generated by third-party AI systems. Output may be fictional, inaccurate, biased, offensive, repetitive, or inconsistent and may not follow a requested rating or boundary every time. Stop using a story that feels unsafe or unwelcome and report serious failures through the support and safety page.
Do not rely on the service for medical, legal, financial, mental-health, emergency, or other high-stakes advice. If anyone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.
Your content and shared campaigns
You are responsible for prompts, names, personal details, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You keep any rights you already have in Your Content. You give Daydream Together a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and adapt Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service you requested, including sending relevant story context to AI providers.
To the extent Daydream Together has transferable rights in AI-generated output, those rights are assigned to the campaign's players. Laws may not recognize copyright or exclusivity in AI-generated material, and similar output may be generated for others; we cannot promise that an output is unique or free of third-party claims.
Pairing with someone or inviting them to a campaign lets them view and contribute to that campaign. Choose collaborators carefully. They can copy or export material they can access, and we cannot recall copies they download or share. Unlinking a partner stops automatic sharing of future campaigns but does not remove access already granted to an existing shared campaign.
Free allowance and paid plans
Free play
A new account may receive a one-time free storytelling allowance. It is an allowance of AI usage—not a promise that a campaign, chapter, or plot will reach a particular ending—and it may run out during a story. The service may offer a final grace scene, but that is not guaranteed.
Solo and Couples memberships
When offered, Solo and Couples memberships are available on monthly or yearly billing. The exact plan, price, billing interval, taxes, and renewal terms shown at Stripe Checkout control your purchase. A yearly membership is paid for a year at checkout but still uses a monthly storytelling allowance unless the product says otherwise.
A Couples plan covers the subscriber and one account currently linked as that subscriber's partner. The two accounts share the Couples storytelling allowance. The subscriber is responsible for the subscription. Coverage can change when accounts pair or unlink, and an unpaired partner is not covered merely because they share a campaign.
Automatic renewal and cancellation
Paid plans renew automatically at the displayed monthly or yearly interval until canceled. You authorize Stripe to charge the payment method on file for each renewal, plus applicable taxes. You can cancel from Manage membership in the account menu or contact support. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period; access continues until then, and canceling does not by itself refund earlier charges. Deleting the app, signing out, unlinking a partner, or deleting campaigns does not cancel a subscription.
Prices or plan features may change prospectively. Where notice or consent is required, it will be provided before the change applies. If a payment fails, access may be limited or ended while Stripe retries or the billing issue is unresolved.
Refunds and billing problems
Payments are generally non-refundable and are not prorated, except where required by law. If you believe a charge is duplicate, unauthorized, materially incorrect, or tied to a material service failure, contact hunter@willisma.com promptly with the account email, charge date, and the last four digits or Stripe receipt identifier—never a full card number. Requests are reviewed case by case; we may offer a refund or credit at our discretion without promising one in every case. This does not limit non-waivable consumer rights.
Allowances and fair use
Membership is not unlimited usage. Allowances are measured using the service's estimated AI and voice cost. Solo and shared Couples allowances ordinarily refresh at the beginning of each UTC calendar month; the product may display an estimated number of turns, but actual turns vary with story length, context, voice use, and provider cost. Unused allowance does not roll over. Reaching an allowance pauses additional paid generation until it refreshes; it is not itself a refund event.
We may adjust allowances prospectively to control abuse, provider changes, or operating cost. Material changes will be reflected in the service or these Terms. Automated requests, account farming, resale, credential sharing, or attempts to bypass limits are prohibited.
Acceptable use and safety
Do not use Daydream Together to:
- create, request, or share sexual content involving anyone under 18, child exploitation material, grooming, or sexualized age ambiguity;
- facilitate trafficking, non-consensual sexual content, stalking, credible threats, targeted harassment, or abuse of a real person;
- promote violent extremism, encourage self-harm, or provide instructions intended to cause serious physical harm;
- generate actionable instructions for illegal weapons, malware, fraud, credential theft, or other serious wrongdoing;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, evade safeguards or rate limits, probe other accounts, or disrupt the service;
- misrepresent AI output as verified professional advice or use it to make high-impact decisions about another person.
Fiction can include conflict, horror, romance, or difficult themes, but a fictional framing does not excuse illegal exploitation or serious harm. We may refuse prompts, limit features, preserve minimum evidence, suspend access, or close an account when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect people or the service, comply with provider rules, or meet legal obligations.
Reporting unsafe output
Use Report in an open story or email unsafe or seriously inappropriate output to hunter@willisma.com. Include the campaign title, approximate date/time, what you asked for, and the smallest relevant excerpt or screenshot. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unrelated personal information. Reports may be reviewed with related campaign/account records as described in the Privacy Policy. Support is not monitored as an emergency service.
Account and campaign deletion
You can delete campaigns you own from the game. To request account deletion, use the support page. An active subscription must be canceled or otherwise resolved first so the account is not deleted while recurring billing continues.
Account deletion is intended to revoke sessions, remove partner and invite links, delete campaigns the account owns and known server-side copies tied to them, and remove the account's membership reference from campaigns owned by someone else. Deletion ends game access immediately, including any time left in a canceled paid period, and does not create an automatic refund. Contributions already incorporated into another person's shared campaign may remain as part of that campaign after the account link is removed. Payment/dispute records, limited safety or abuse evidence, provider records, downloaded exports, and data required by law may remain. See the Privacy Policy for operational limits.
Third-party services
Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Render, Cloudflare, and—when advertising measurement is enabled—Meta provide parts of the service under their own terms. Their availability and independent processing are outside Daydream Together's complete control. You must also comply with rules that apply to your use of those services.
Availability, changes, and ending access
The service may change, pause, or end because of maintenance, provider outages, safety, cost, law, or business needs. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation of every campaign, a particular AI response, or continued availability of a feature. Export stories you care about. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations; where reasonable, we will try to provide notice or an opportunity to export lawful content.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Daydream Together is provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises that output will be accurate, suitable, safe, unique, or uninterrupted. You remain responsible for how you use, share, or act on content. To the extent permitted by law, Daydream Together is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product or law changes. The updated date will appear above, and additional notice will be provided when appropriate. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not, stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
